Winners and best photos from the National Geographic Instagram Contest

National Geographic is famous primarily for its divine photographs, so it is not surprising that it went down in history as a brand whose Instagram profile was the first to attract one hundred million subscribers.

To celebrate this achievement, Nat Geo created a contest on the most popular photo-sharing network with the hashtag # natgeo100contest. In the first 24 hours, the resource received 94 thousand pictures, of which the publication’s experts chose the top ten most impressive. Then the editors invited millions of their followers to vote for the best, in their opinion, picture. So the main winner and the finalists were determined. Below you can see their work, as well as a few more photos, although they did not win, but no less stunning.
