Meerkats attack the cheetah, but the predator takes this behavior for courtship

Meet Kinji, a friendly young cheetah from Cheetah Experience, a nonprofit organization in South Africa that provides shelter to a number of endangered and endangered species, including cheetahs, leopards, lions, servals, caracals, African wild cats, wolves, meerkats and Siberian tigers .

Kinji loves meerkats and often comes to visit them. However, funny creatures, of course, do not share the sympathy of a predatory cat, seeing it as a natural enemy. When the cheetah rubs against the body of their enclosure, purring loudly, the meerkats furiously try to push the cat away, but Kinji mistakenly takes this as a friendly game.

According to ranger Dolph Volker, cheetahs rarely purr, and meerkat attacks are one of the few things that force him to do so.
