Crimea: Ai-Petri mountain and suspension bridges

When I come to the Crimea, I have two points of a mandatory program: to climb a mountain and eat a cheburek.

It is not necessary to do this at the same time, but there is one place where you can combine the pleasant with the even more pleasant - this is Ai-Petri Mountain.

Ai-Petri is perhaps the most famous peak of the Crimea, although not the highest (1234 meters Ai-Petri against 1545 meters of Mount Roman-Kosh).
It can easily be reached by cable car from Miskhor or by car. Therefore, I mastered Ai-Petri in my first visits, along with waterfalls, caves, Swallow's Nest and palaces.

I remember my disappointment when I climbed Ai-Petri for the first time. You expect to see the mountain, and in front of you is a real bazaar - noisy, noisy, crowded. It is deliciously fed with pasties or pilaf with a lagman, but you also want some privacy. Therefore, you can climb to the very, very top - to the Ai-Petri Jags.

The climb is simple, the entrance to the trail costs 100 rubles, and suspension bridges have now been made at the very top. On them for 500 rubles you can go over the abyss and test your spirit.

Perhaps, thanks to these bridges and clouds that covered the mountain, a visit to Ai-Petri this year was the most beautiful.

The name Ai-Petri is of Greek origin and translates as "Saint Peter" (Greek Άγιος Πέτρος).

On Ai-Petri there is a maximum number of foggy days in the Crimea (in 1970 the number was already 215 days). And also Ai-Petri - the most windy point of Crimea.

Ascent to the Prongs (entrance to the path - 100 rubles, rise for about 15 minutes).

And here are the suspension bridges:

Two spans with a total length of 45 meters. The first span is horizontal. The second - with a slight lift.

They fasten you to the bridges with two carbines.

A sufficient number of people are walking along the bridges, and there is also a wind that sways the whole thing a little.

At the top of Ai-Petri, I saw an interesting phenomenon above me - this is Gloria.

It can be seen on almost all photos - a rainbow and my shadow =)

In China, gloria is called the "light of the Buddha" (佛光).

Also, a similar phenomenon can be called the Broken ghost.

Here is such an inclined house at the bottom right - this is the cableway station:

The cost of the passage is 500 rubles, bridges are open until 18.30. And you pay them when you are already standing all in the winding, fastened to the bridges =)

Nearby there are trolls along which you can go down (from the Jags to the parking lots and the cable car), which I wanted to do, but at 18 o’clock the trolls had already closed and its owner set sail down.

Everything drowned in the clouds:

The Miskhor - Ai-Petri cable car is considered unique. The longest unsupported span in Europe, stretched into the Guinness Book of Records, stretches between its middle and upper stations: it is 1,670 meters long and has an elevation angle of 46 ° near the mountains, making it one of the ten most impressive cable cars in the world.

How to get to Ai-Petri:

1. A cable car leads to the top from the village of Miskhor.

You need to come to the bus station and walk another one and a half kilometers straight to the lower cableway station.

One-way car ride this year costs 350 rubles (website), 15 minutes in time and you are upstairs.

2. You can get to Ai-Petri by your own car or not by your own - there are a lot of special uncles around the station in Miskhor who will be happy to take you to the top by car at the price of a cable car. Almost an hour of exciting serpentine awaits you (if you are badly sickened, it’s better not to risk it), stories and stops in dubious places, for example, by the lake where turtles live (which, probably, no living person saw). You can also go down and down - you can’t miss the uncles inviting you into your car or bus.

3. You can go to Ai-Petri directly from Yalta - at the bus station you can also get in a car to a special uncle, and he will wind up to the top with a breeze. You can also go down from Ai-Petri, bypassing Miskhor, to Yalta or other coastal villages.

And you can stay and relax in Miskhor - it is believed that this is almost the warmest place on the South Bank, and there is a monument to the Mermaid in the sea.
