Exciting photos of winners of the competition Andrei Stenin International Press Photo

Young photojournalists from around the world demonstrated their skills by taking part in the international photo contest of press workers named after Andrei Stenin. Unique to Russia, the competition is open to photographers from around the world aged 18 to 33 years. It is named after the Russian photojournalist Andrei Stenin, who tragically died in 2014 at the age of 33.

Young photojournalists from 77 countries presented about 6,000 works demonstrating the power of their craft. The winners in each category showed how wide and diverse the circle of talents in photojournalism is. These guys from Iran, Belarus, Israel, Russia, South Africa and many other countries are doing vital work, helping us to understand what is happening in the world every day.

Winner in the category "Portrait. Hero of our time" - "Rosebud", Odid Wagenstein, Israel.

Winner in the "Top news" category - "Riot in Kenya after the election", Luis Tato, Spain.

The winner in the series of photographs "My Planet" - "How I got sick", Alena Kochetkova, Russia.

Winner in the "Sports" category - "Pursuit of Life", Taisir Mahdi, Iraq.

The winner in the Sport photo series is Ultras, Andrea Alai, Italy.

The winner in the My Planet category is Cranberry Heart, Sergey Gapon, Belarus.

The winner in the series of photographs “Portrait. A Hero of Our Time” is “Twins”, Shiva Khademi, Iran.
