In the national park of the United States chose the thickest bear

A few years ago, in Kathmai National Park in Alaska, they began to hold a funny contest called "The Week of the Fat Bear", the winner of which is the bear, who was able to walk the biggest weight before hibernation.

Look at the winner of this year, the Bear Dawdows, who managed to acquire truly luxurious volumes. Once the animal got into the park in a deplorable state with a weight of only 272 kg, which in bears indicates serious exhaustion.

The reserve staff went out and fed Badnows, so during her years in Kathmaye she became the triumph of the "Fat Bear Week" twice.

National Park workers catch sick and depleted bears in the wild across North America to take care of animals and restore them to the reserve. A bear that did not manage to gain the necessary weight before the winter has practically no chance to survive the harsh season. If he is lucky, he will fall into the hands of Kathmay employees who will provide proper care and rehabilitation for the animal, as well as the ability to get the right amount of fat on a diet of wild salmon and safely survive hibernation.
